 Recommended Daily Guide Fee

According to the Swiss Mountain Guide Association (SBV), the recommended daily fee is between CHF 650 and CHF 850 (excl. expenses). The fee may vary depending on, for example, the length of the tour, the difficulty, the conditions, and the number of guests. I am happy to discuss this at the time of the booking.

If nothing else is agreed upon at the time of the booking, SBV's General Terms & Condition apply.

Working as an IFMGA Mountain Guide Aspirant

There are rules that govern how IFMGA mountain guide aspirants are allowed to work. These rules grant us endless of opportunities to explore the mountains together.

Working under direct supervision:

  • Under direct supervision the mountain guide and the mountain guide aspirant need be together for the majority of the tour.

  • I have the right to guide guests for payment on all tours, without restrictions, both winter and summer in Switzerland, France, Norway and Sweden.

Working under indirect supervision:

  • Under indirect supervision, the mountain guide is not required to be present on site during the activity. The jointly responsible mountain guide clarifies before the tour or course, whether the planned activities are within the permitted scope and whether the terrain, the conditions and the human factor allow the activity to be carried out.
